This site is dedicated to all the children in the world with Autism & Learning Disabilities and the Mentally Challenged. Society ignores them as mentally ill children, born to unfortunate parents. The society is not fully aware of such chidren and it is our endeavour to get across to society about such children and help them to become adjusted and accepted.

In India, there is some awareness about Mentally Retarded children. However, there is hardly any awareness about children with Autism and Learning Disabilities. The parents are unble to detect their child's problem during infancy or early childhood, sometimes, too late for early intervention. Often they are misguided and end up visiting a train of medical specialists or traditional advisers like sadhus or priests. The gravest problem is that many of the medicos, including pediatricians are also not aware about Autism and Learning Disabilities. Hence, the child has to pass through a series of physical examinations, tests and treatment before he or she is actually detected to have autism or learning disability or other psychological disorder. It is sad to say that in some cases, the doctors may either themselves continue to remain ignorant or keep the parents ignorant about the unsuccessful diagnosis and treatment.

The fact that the child suffers from any psychological disorder does not mean that the child needs hospitalization or isolation. A child cannot be harmful. They are indeed special children! They are like other children, only difference being that they are either biologically or environmentally maladjusted. Hence, they need more love, attention, care and patience.

In America and UK, a lot of research work is being done on various mental disabilities. Psychology has also devised new techniques and therapies to assist the child's development and make it independent in self-care. In recent years, the advancement of Psychology and Psychological Services in India has led to the establishment of NGOs, Special Schools and Institutes, which have brought a ray of hope in the lives of parents.

The aim of this website is to reveal to Society the problems and potentials of such special children and guide the parents to upbring their child effectively and also to help them to locate institutes and organizations in their city for their child's development.
